That’s right ladies and gentlemen. Contrary to popular belief the once great Nathan Solomon was not interred into the Earth on the warm Memorial Day weekend, he just went to Maine. I’m sure all of my arch-nemeses are sorely disappointed, but it takes a lot more than that to keep me down.
Okay, thats enough of that guys. Sorry if it seems like I haven’t been keeping up with you guys. You can take turns punching me in the stomach when I get back. I’ve just been crazy-super busy the whole time. I’m at work from 8-5 everyday, I workout till bout 7, then come home, eat dinner, play guitar, and by that time it’s 9-10 and i need to go to bed to wake up at 7 to go to work the next day. I just haven’t had a lot of time in my schedule, but I promise I’ll try harder in my last few weeks here to make it up to you guys. So i guess I’ll start by telling you about my summer, then asking, nay DEMANDING that you tell me of yours. So heres mine:
Work: Like I said, 8-5 every weekday (and some weekends too). I generally work 45-50 hours a week. It takes a lot out of you, I’m not gonna lie. The work itself isnt too interesting. I work a lot with x-ray machines and accessories that are used in vet clinics. Occasionally I get to go to a clinic and do some work on their machines. It’s strange, you see a lot of things you don’t generally associate with pets, like them being stuffed in plastic bags… Anyways, work isn’t too bad, but it’s kinda boring. For example, this post is being written entirely at work.
Hobbies: So i spent pretty much all the time I’m not at work, working out or playing guitar/piano. I have actually put on some muscle. I’m still obscenely skinny looking. The only difference is that now a small portion of it is muscle. As for guitar, I’m learning a lot. I have about a dozen songs down, and I feel like I’m getting a lot better. I’ve taken some lessons too. My teacher is this like this 30 year-old guys with two kids. Even so, hes like the best guitarist I have ever personally met. I’m really trying to get better by putting a lot of time into it, but it’s a long process. Me and Jared are goin to go guitar shopping when I get back. I need a new one, and he needs an acoustic. I’ve been reading up a lot on it and feel pretty confident.
Weekends: I have had the opportunity to do a lot of really awesome stuff. I get to go to the beach literally whenever I want. It’s like 5 min down the road, which is totally awesome. I also have gone kayaking around some of the islands around the bay, which if anyone has the opportunity, I high recommend. I’ve also gotten to climb some mountains and things and get some amazing views. My friend Emily came up and visited me a few weeks ago, and Jared is coming up in about 2. Also, I saw a friend from college two weekends ago. I love hosting people, and so it’s been a lot of fun hanging out with them.
So thats the basic outline of my life for the past 2 months. I look forward to hearing from some of you guys!
